Electric Vehicle (EV) Training

Fast Lane Automotive Training offers every student interested in learning – no matter their background – the opportunity to learn about electric vehicles as part of their journey to become certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (A.S.E.). Our Electric Vehicle (EV) training requires a student to first complete Fast Lane Automotive’s Electrical course, but don’t worry. Your instructor will help you register for all classes you need for certification.

Electric vehicles, unlike hybrids, have no engines. Instead, they’re powered by three main components: An electric motor, a controller, and a battery. EV’s still use a transmission to generate power to the wheels. But, because an electric motor has full use of its speed range and an efficient use of torque, transmissions are simple one-speed units. With Fast Lane, you’ll get hands-on training with real-world electric vehicles.

Our Electric Vehicle training prepares students for certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (A.S.E.). Fast Lane assists students with job placement through partner agencies and qualified students may receive sponsorship for certification.
